Christmas preaching matters. Many of us as preachers feel trapped—our people expect a sermon or a series of sermons taken directly from the Christmas story they know and love.
Some pastors look for ways to skip preaching altogether. They are quick to replace the sermon – and the time it takes for sermon prep – with a visiting choir, a drama group, or a patriotic event.
God is leading me to a new level of faithfulness after the sermon. Not just a quick summary prayer at the end of the message, but prayer in the nights and days that follow.
